My hand drawn memory map of a great day spent walking the historical cobblestones of Salem, Ma. It was a fun-filled day, with tons of walking, exploring, and just taking in the sights! The “witch” history was definitely explored, I loved the history, and the Peabody Essex museum was a highlight! a room full of “figureheads” in all their glory in front of huge domed alcoves...beautiful! I just loved the city, and the best lobster roll ever at the Lobster Shanty! I even threw in the Devils Run, because I hope to run it someday. A beautiful, historical, whimsical city core, I would definitely visit again.
The weather was perfect for me, hot & humid, with a salty breeze to cool you off, I hope my map captures the fun & historical atmosphere of this wonderful city!
