Great for adults, designers, illustrators and maplovers!

The 50 States by Gabrielle Balkan & Sol Linero

Nate says "Oh, the art of Sol Linero is so beautiful. When I first opened this book I expected to just flip through the pages and set it aside for later, but I could NOT put it down! I was in my kitchen and my boyfriend was sitting at the counter and for the next 30 minutes I just kept saying 'Did you know...'. This book is chock full of fun and important facts about each state in the US. I wish I had this book when I was in school!"

Great for children and teens!

Mind the Map: Creative Mapmaking and Cartography edited by Antonis Antoniou

The styles range from sweet and cute to smart and graphic to fresh and hip to classic and traditional. I’m very sad that I wasn’t asked to be a part of this compendium—clearly, an oversight on the publisher part! :-( Regardless, I highly highly highly recommend this book. It inspires me.”

Great for maplovers and designers!

Vargic's Miscellany of Curious Maps: Mapping the Modern World by Martin Vargic

Nate Says "To be clear, this is not a book of illustrated maps. It's an amazing book, none the less. The creator, Martin Vargic, infuses each world map with a different set of data: infographic maps. Do you know which country has the highest number of heavy metal bands per capita? How about which countries have the largest average penis length? Highest IQs? Most lightning strikes? You get it. He also has creating some brilliant conceptual maps: map of stereotypes, for example. If you dig data, you'll love this book."

From skiing in the Alps to dancing in Rio to bathing with monkeys in Nagano, this book celebrates culture and tradtion in a wonderful way."

Great for children and teens and young-hearted adults!

The Map Design Toolbox: Time-Saving Templates for Graphic Design by Alexander Tibelius

With these images you may design your own illustrated map for both personal AND commercial use."
