The Great Outdoors - Mother Earth

From seeds to sprouts to trees
She holds and cradles and feeds
Mother Earth grounds the roots
Mother Earth nurtures the fruits

Sing a song for the tree of life
As a mother gives birth to her child
Sing a lullaby, sweet and soft
As the leaves bend down to watch

From valleys to hills to mountain peaks
Mother Earth lets the Great Outdoors speak
Welcome! Rejoice! This is life.
Run free, run wild, take flight

So sing a song for the sun and rain
As we roam through our lives, through joy and pain
Sing a hymn, a shanty, a ballad blue
Follow the streams that summon you

As the light fades to dusk fades into the night
Mother Earth closes her eyes and sighs
Elephants and bears, angelines and mares
It's time to go, so go in pairs

Sing a song for the seasons and the soil
Build a boat from the trees and set sail
Sail the seas up to the skies
Sing that lullaby once more before you too close your eyes
