This is a map through memory lane, illustrating the most prominent sights & experiences between work - (Panjim- Goa), home (Porvorim) & travel (old Goa Churches, lazy beaches & Aguada fort). The best memories include long scooter rides by the Vagator beach road, after office gossip session at the Panjim river front, my Porvorim house, a sanctuary for insects in the monsoons, where my room-mate's doted over our little rescued cat Mimi and the most mysterious of all the "River Princess" ship wreck at the Candolim beach (2000-2013). The colour full buildings & the white Panjim church will forever live in my mind.
Colorado Springs is one of the most beautiful places to live!!! We are surrounded by so much beauty and get to gaze upon the majesty of Pikes Peak every single day. I never tire of it's beauty! Our beautiful landscape inspired the song "America the Beautiful".
Frankly, usually there isn't a lot going on in an Austrian village. The place I grew up in is all about the lake and the mountains surrounding it - and so is this map!
PS: You might know lake Wolfgangsee from the intro scenes of "The Sound of Music".
Although, should you ever meet a local, he or she probably wouldn't even know the movie :-)
Victoria is Canada's best kept secret. With the Pacific Ocean hugging all of the city, its lucky inhabitants have access to sandy beaches, incredible wildlife, a thriving harbour, seaside walks and glorious vistas of the Olympic Mountains in nearby Washington State. The temperate climate allows us to grow plants that can't be grown anywhere else in this icy, snowy country of ours. Spring is gradual and so beautiful, as the blossoming trees and flowers burst with colour and scent all over the city. Thanks for adopting me, Vic!
When I lived in Sydney, my favorite place was Taronga zoo! The Zoo has animal shows, keeper talks, and animal encounters all day!! The best way to arrive at the zoo is via ferry from Circular Quay. Once you arrive at the port, you can catch the rope way known as Sky Safari!! It gives you magnificent views of the zoo and the harbor. You can even camp in a safari tent in the zoo, so why not try the Roar and Snore!! Sleeping in the zoo is fantastic!!!!
Mundy Park is a 178 hectare park and habitat in a suburb of Vancouver, British Columbia. Its temperate rainforest is home to a variety of plants, trees, and creatures, big and small. Over the years, I've enjoyed visiting this park to jog the Perimeter Trail -- nature inspires creativity.
