Mountain pines sprinkled with snow, cacti scattered in rugged terrain of the desert, a brisk ocean breeze from an approaching storm, observing the wildlife reacting...these are some of my favorite experiences in nature. At the end of the day, or if the weather is inclement, retreating to the warmth or coolness of home is admittedly my favorite place to be. Decorative rugs and fringe have become my homage to the comfort of home in many of my illustrations.
