In my area of the world (suburban Philadelphia), there has been an enormous uptick in housing developments. Just last year, a healthy cluster of woods in my neighborhood was destroyed to make way for another development. In exchange, so many beautiful creatures were displaced. Now, the deer population is considered a danger to humans, and there is talk of thinning the herd. This piece is in support of the Great Outdoors and all the creatures that have no voice.
