I think "Artificial Cloud" stuck with me when I created a map of Tulsa, OK. It pushed me to recall my actual experiences with massive outdoor sculptures. I like walking around them and through them. I like how massive works interact with natural and artificial surroundings. Researching outdoor art for this proposal revealed where and how it's displayed. North Dakota and Maine have roadways dedicated to outdoor art. In Alabama a giant robot rests on a university campus after its last shift at a now closed steel plant. I need an art road trip.
