Bio:

Candace Alexandres, is an American fine artist, illustrator, and owner of Calex Studio. ("Calex" being a handy fusion of her first and last name.)

Her artistic journey began with captivating illustrations of lush fruits, vegetables, and culinary delights. Now her practice has grown to include fine art. Currently, you can find her making vibrant acrylic abstracts and collages.

Originally from beautiful Northern California, Candace is now enjoys expat life in Europe. She thrives on the history of the many distinct cultures and traditions across Europe. (That said, she'd give her right arm for a decent neighborhood taqueria.)

When she’s not traveling to gather artistic inspiration, you'll find Candace working her creative magic in her charming canal-side home studio in Amsterdam with her devoted husband and her giant house cat.
