Paradise on the Lido di Venezia, Italy by Nate Padavick
San Francisco, CA, USFor your next trip to Venice I highly suggest staying on Lido! You can bike and swim everywhere. It's like a big, beautiful, tropical Italian paradise. And, if you must go to Venice, it's only a 12 minute vaporetto ride away, but trust, one taste of Lido and you might not need Venice! Here is my hotel recommendation for those of you within a budget (http://www.hotelvillaparco.com/).

Chapel Hill, NC: The Southern Part of Heaven by Alice Feagan
Edwards, CO, USAs a North Carolinian and an alumni of UNC, I had to create a map of Chapel Hill, NC when I discovered They Draw & Travel. This college town is steeped in history and tradition so I thought what better way to share Chapel Hill with you than to begin with a win over 'Dook' at the Dean Dome, followed by a trip north through the campus to celebrate on Franklin St. and finally kicking back on the front porch at the Carolina Inn. Visit Chapel Hill once and you'll understand why it gained the nickname, 'The Southern Part of Heaven.'

Smela, Ukraine by Anastasiia Kucherenko
Smela's coat of arms depicts a girl breaking the arrow. According to the legend, during one of the Golden Horde raids, a local girl guided Russian warriors to the rear of the invaders. The enemy were defeated but the girl was killed with the enemy's arrow. Nobody knew her name, so they simply called her Smela ('a brave girl' in Russian). When the town was established there, they dicided to keep the name to commemorate the girl who saved the warriors and the local people.
