The Great Outdoors
Described as one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the South West Kynance Cove is not just a pretty face. It's geology is also impressive and has been designated as a Geological Conservation Review site. The rock beneath your feet here is Serpentine, squeezed up from the beneath the earth 350 million years ago in a collision between two supercontinents. Because of it's soil content rich in magnesium you'll find the rare Cornish Heath growing here which is native to the Lizard and not found anywhere else in Britain.
