As someone who has spent most of their life in the northern US, I find myself drawn to the beauty and warmth of the desert. My fondest experience in The Great Outdoors is a roadtrip I took three years ago through the Southwest. I'll never forget wandering through the Cholla Garden at Joshua Tree National Park, where bees searched for the rare bloom, and air cooled just before sunset.
