The Great Outdoors
I did a 3 day solo thru-hike in the Valley of Wonders in the southern French alps last summer. The first night, I settled down next to this lake, encircled by a protective wall of sentinel rock peaks. Sleeping all alone in the middle of nowhere is the best feeling in the world, especially when you wake up to this kind of natural beauty. Could never have my cat with me, but he's always there in spirit.
