I spend quite a lot of time in the Netherlands. I love the springtime when there are colorful fields of tulips everywhere. These flowers were first found in the mountains of Turkey and were importet from the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century. In the Netherlands tulips were so valuble and in demand that it involved into a "tulip mania".
