Picnic in the South of France

During my travels in France, one of the best French traditions I was lucky to indulge in was the 'snack hour' before dinner, "l'apéro." Completed with whatever we collected from the market, from green olives, to a fresh baguette with cheese, to something as simple as a bowl of chips, we'd pass each snack around the table and chatted about our day until it was time for dinner. Every now and then, we'd even play very competitive games of cards while laughing with glasses of rosé.
So while reminiscing on these wonderful memories, everything in this illustration has a glimpse of what l'apéro was for me, in this warm, sunny picnic under Southern French Flowers.
