In March 2020, four days before my flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina closed the borders due to the COVID-19 pandemic and I had to fly from Rio to Brasília immediately. My siblings live here in a beautiful residential complex and they are almost neighbors of each other. It's only 30 minutes from the center of town, but still looks a bit wild, almost like being in the countryside. And that's where I've been stuck ever since. I thank them all heartily. Love, love, love, love.
/// I feel good here with my family, but I also want to express my immense sadness for Brazil, my country that I love so much, for having one of the largest numbers of coronavirus victims in the world. So many deaths could have been prevented.
Chennai is both an orthodox and a modern cosmopolitan city; the culture of the city reflects its diverse population. For many travelers, a trip to Chennai means relishing mouth-watering Chettinad cuisine, taking a dip or two in the waters of Marina Beach, shopping for Kanchipuram silk sarees and gold jewelry, and going about exploring the heritage structures in the city. So, here's a map showing how I pushed off to this trip as a way of escape :)
I have been born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. Copacabana is without a doubt my favorite place to walk. A place that I lived for many years and that is still my favorite today. The energy of the people, the beauty of nature, the explosion of colors was the reason why Tom Jobim named Copa The Princess of the Sea. Every time I need an injection of energy I visit the streets of Copacabana. Visiting Copacabana always makes me smile, makes me feel that life is beautiful and I always leave the city full of inspiration.
Below I leave the lyrics of Copacabana composed by the genius of Brazilian Bossa Nova, Tom Jobim and I invite you to listen to it. Enjoy!
Existem praias tão lindas cheias de luz
Nenhuma tem o encanto que tu possuis
Tuas areias, teu céu tão lindo
Tuas sereias sempre sorrindo
Copacabana princesinha do mar
Pelas manhãs tu és a vida a cantar
E á tardinha o Sol poente
Deixa sempre uma saudade na gente
Copacabana o mar eterno cantor
Ao te beijar ficou perdido de amor
E hoje vivo a murmurar só a ti
Copacabana eu hei-de amar

Walking through the historic district of my hometown is a magic experience full of stories, old cathedrals, sea breeze and the joy of it's people. I recommend to start this tour at sunset and finish it with a cool beer at night. Hope you like it!
Salvador...It’s my birth and childhood city, where I lived until move to São Paulo. I have the fondest memories about places I used to go with my parents. Small (great) pleasures. This is what my inside child remembers of a ( today) very chaotic but super beautiful and charming city. It was the first capital of Brazil, what makes it unique in many ways.
“Puducheri” meaning “new settlement”. The architecture here is highly influenced by the culture of the place. An interesting fact about Puducherry is that the city is divided into two quarters. While one is the French sectors the other is the Tamil section. The cityscapes of the two different sectors strongly reflect the lifestyle and practices of the people living in this place. There are also some excellent structures in Puducherry that represent the fusion of the two dominant architectural styles of this place. These houses belong to the Franco- Tamil category. The interiors of the houses in the French quarter are more embellished than the exteriors. There are some houses in the Tamil streets where the architecture reflect remarkable French influence.
