My family has been vacationing in Charleston for many years. There is so much history, good food, beautiful architecture... and the beach! It would be nearly impossible to map ALL the places that are special to me, but this map showcases some of my favorites.
I know that Labin is not famous or big, but it's very quaint and historical small place...and it's my hometown! If you ever come visit this place It'll be my joy to give you a guided tour and tell you all about the legends and stories of this town :D
Mastic/Mastic Beach/Shirley is a hidden gem for all summertime activities. Enjoy fishing, swimming, tanning, boating, crabbing, surfing, rowing...pretty much anything beach/sealife related that involves a "ing" at the end.
If you're lucky enough to win a camping spot for the week of July 4th (the spaces sell out in seconds early December 3rd) you're in prime location for watching fireworks over The Bay.
For food, avoid "fast food alley" at all costs and opt for the local stops. Ice cream cottage, Mike's place, TJ's and Nino's have been around for forever and are much loved. Also check out Frank & Son's Italian bakery and Mama Lisa's pizzeria(their grandma pizza is amazing!) on Montauk Highway.
Ipswich is the best place to live or visit! We welcome 4 seasons with all their beauty and rage! We have coastal panoramic views. With more first period houses than any other town in the US, we are full of history and charm! Come Visit! My entry is watercolor and ink... hope you love it!
Most people that venture to Belize spend most of their time on one of the islands. But the farming and fishing community of Hopkins offers many cultural and indigenous (Garifuna) rewards. Its unique character can't be beat. Except when you are listening to some of the best drumming in Belize!
