I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design many years ago. I wanted to share an illustrated map that could serve as a guide to students and tourists alike who want to explore some favorite spots in the historic district.
Camino De Santiago is an ancient pilgrimage route in Spain which leads pilgrims to the capital Santiago de Compostela. Camino Frances (The French Way) is just one of the routes, following the Northern peninsula of Spain, a journey of 760km beginning at St. Jean Pied de Port. Pilgrims come from all over the world to walk/cycle this route.
There are so many wonderful wineries around the finger Lakes, that I decided I'd like to see if we could take a family friendly staycation this year. Turns out there are so many things to do! I couldn't possibly fit them all in, but I did draw a few of my favorites that are now on my must see and/or do list.
A map I drew based on my own experience of exploring my inner world.
Prospect Park is the place to be when I need to clear my head and let my mind wander! It's a 10 minute walk from my apartment so I'm there quite often, especially in the summer. I illustrated this map for TheNosher.com to accompany a detailed Food Guide to the Jewish Food of LA, which was co-produced by The Gefilteria. With this map, I wanted to illustrate the great diversity of Jewish food in LA, from Ashkenazi classics like bagels and challah, to Persian Jewish kabobs, Yemenite kubaneh bread and Israeli markets.
