I was in Bologna last month to visit Bologna Children's Book Fair. It was my third time to visit this beautiful Italian city. I love their stunning porticos, interesting museums, galleries and lovely bookstores. As a book lover, I especially adore Biblioteca Salaborsa, a beautiful library, which has a giant archaeological site beneath your feet you can see through a glass floor. Bologna is also a city for gelato lovers. There are so many great flavors and combinations to try!!!!
Anzio is a seaside fishing town near Rome. It's a well known place for its historical events; Roman Emperor Nerone was born here and the ruins of ist villa are still around the coast. Tourists (and locals too) enjoy the delicious seafood Anzio is famous for. Every day fishing boats bring to the port tons of fishes and other precious delicacies from the sea. And the local restaurants serve the best and most delicious mediterranean meals! And let's not forget Anzio's amazing handmade gelatos! Wish you all to visit beautiful Anzio soon.
Stroll in the sunshine through the quintessentially British spa town of Harrogate. After bargain hunting for antiques in The Montpellier Quarter, take afternoon tea at Betty's historic tea rooms. Don't forget to wave 'Hello' to Tarquin the bulldog as he trundles through Valley Gardens stopping to sniff the flowers. www.katybloss.com

From May through October I love to buy local & seasonal foods at nearby farmers' markets. It's great to be able to walk or bike to a market any day of the week to pick up fresh and tasty ingredients for a meal. As a project for the Folio Focus group, I've mapped out my favourite westend markets for each day of the week as a reference guide.

The main monuments and government buildings were designed by the architect Oscar Niemeyer, and the urban plan by the architect Lúcio Costa. Despite the politics, Brasilia is a beautiful and dynamic city with cool people who love living in it. This illustration is a small tribute to the city where I was born and raised. Although it is inconvenient not being able to get around easily without a car, I love Brasilia!
I spent three and half years of living in Minneapolis before I moved to New York, and I still have a soft spot for this unique Midwest city. So I created this illustrated map of local art & fun spots of Minneapolis. It reminds me of the good old days of hanging out at my favorite spots in the city. Be sure to visit in the summer!
Sometimes you have to leave a place to truly appreciate its unique qualities. It was not until living abroad I started to really see the most fantastic features of my hometown Stockholm, most of which I took for granted when living there. When making my first map ever this was my obvious choice! Being a former archaeologist I wish I could have squeezed in sooo much more! Maybe there will be another one!
