Last spring I visited Niagara Falls for the first time and fell in love! Here are my top recommendations on what to do, see and eat! Admittedly you could skip one or two of the Tim Hortons Coffee breaks, but why would you want to?
I visited Chiang Mai Thailand last December and I just instantly fall in love with this beautiful and relaxing city. I love the mountains, the trees, elephants, food and shopping! I use yellow as my main colour as the colour of yellow reminded me my favourite noodle soup from Chiang Mai: Khao soui (Curry noodle soup). I love illustrate map because it bring back the happy and beautiful memories if the subject is the country or city I've visited before or give me hope and expectation if the subject is the country I've never visited before.
Sometimes my wife and I just want pie and coffee. Whether the pie is savory or sweet. Whether it is brunch or early afternoon. Whether the coffee is a light or dark roast. So here is a map listing 8 of our "go to" pie places in Vancouver Washington - places that are usually guaranteed to have something yummy for our pie-holes.
I grew up around the city of Philadelphia, and I have really fond childhood memories of going into the city with friends and going on a "Cheesesteak Pilgrimage" as we fondly called it, where one of our moms drove us to all the well known cheesesteaks places so that we could rank our favorites. I illustrated a map of all the places that we went to, so that others would be able to enjoy the pilgrimage as well. :)
There are so many wonderful wineries around the finger Lakes, that I decided I'd like to see if we could take a family friendly staycation this year. Turns out there are so many things to do! I couldn't possibly fit them all in, but I did draw a few of my favorites that are now on my must see and/or do list.
I illustrated this map for TheNosher.com to accompany a detailed Food Guide to the Jewish Food of LA, which was co-produced by The Gefilteria. With this map, I wanted to illustrate the great diversity of Jewish food in LA, from Ashkenazi classics like bagels and challah, to Persian Jewish kabobs, Yemenite kubaneh bread and Israeli markets.
