I spent three and half years of living in Minneapolis before I moved to New York, and I still have a soft spot for this unique Midwest city. So I created this illustrated map of local art & fun spots of Minneapolis. It reminds me of the good old days of hanging out at my favorite spots in the city. Be sure to visit in the summer!
Sometimes you have to leave a place to truly appreciate its unique qualities. It was not until living abroad I started to really see the most fantastic features of my hometown Stockholm, most of which I took for granted when living there. When making my first map ever this was my obvious choice! Being a former archaeologist I wish I could have squeezed in sooo much more! Maybe there will be another one!
Handmade watercolor map of Ecuador, the wonderful country where you can find 4 worlds in one place, Galapagos Islands, Pacific coast, Cordillera de los Andes and Amazon jungle with a lot of natural diversity, ecuadorian roses, amazing amazonian orchids, a huge variety of palm trees and ferns, beautiful animals like Iguanas, Galapagos tortoises, giant shrimps, Guacamayos, Squirrel Monkeys, blue-footed boobies, and also the best bananas and cocoa you can find. Don't forget to try "Bolón" at the coastal region. Ecuador is a landscape full of incredible colors that will captivate you, everywhere you look!
Haarlem is a charming city just a few minutes by train from Amsterdam. And there is plenty to discover. Visit a museum, explore cute hofjes or take a tour of the windmill. Go for a wander in the nearby Zuid Kennemerland National Park, then be sure to have a tasty craft beer at Jopenkerk or Het Uiltje Bar. Hope you enjoy this little map. I spent many weeks in southern Indian in my youth. In the near future I'd love to spend a month touring the 'golden triangle' taking in the stunning forts and multicoloured old towns. And as a Buddhist I'd love to visit Nepal and discover the history and heritage. Sampling the foods of each country would also be a big high light for me too.
