Paradise North by Kimberley Guilmette
Ontario, CAThis place is special to me because...it’s isolated, you can only reach it by airplane or boat, and it’s sorrounded by salty seas, a hidden gem in the Gulf if St. Lawrence. There are over 300kms of white sandy beach to explore, the biggest skies you’ll ever see, often dancing with colourful kites, because of all the wind! There’s history, great seafood, artisans, and the most spectacular views. You can walk for hours on a beach and never see another soul, or you can go cave-surfing, kayaking or just chill. The moment I set foot on this archipelago it stole my heart, I actually cried when it was time to leave. I bought a charm of the islands, and it hangs around my neck everyday, to remind me of the “bliss” I found here, on the “Maggie’s”.

Lots to do in Santa Cruz by Shoshannah Hausmann
USThis place is special to me because yes, I am a banana slug! I went to university in Santa Cruz and lived there a few years after as well. There is lots to do in this cute town - hiking, mountain biking, kayaking and surfing. Of course you can also relax on the beach or ride the Giant Dipper rollercoaster at the Boardwalk. There are also lots of tasty eats in town which I didn't include on this map. I guess I need to do another one! :)

Dog Friendly Lincoln, UK by Buffy Randall
Lincoln, GBThis place is special to me because Lincoln is the perfect city to visit with your furry friend. Beautiful cobbled streets, expansive green spaces historic attractions and unique independent businesses. Here are just a handful of cafes, restaurants, hotels and attractions that would be happy to welcome you and your dog! Many of these places offer water bowls and tasty dog treats. Sorry to everyone I couldn't fit on the map, there are so many more besides!

The Best of Times in Calabogie, Canada by Kimberley Guilmette
Ontario, CAThis place is special to me because...it was living in “cottage” country, and working at a resort! How great to be able to kayak in the early mornings on a beautiful lake, I learned to sail a catamaran here, mountain biked 1000’s of km’s, skiied and met my husband here, I crashed skiing, major concussion, I ate a mogul😝and he was a ski patroller, the rest is history. I miss our tiny log cabin in the trees, but not the flying squirrels that often ended up in the bedroom, and once in the bed😝. It was an amazing decade spent there, truly blessed, the fondest of memories.

Ontario, CAThis place is special to me because...it’s isolated, and there are 300kms of white sandy beach to explore, and the only way to get here is by airplane or boat! It’s windswept, the big skies are often filled with colourful kites from the kite-boarders. I cried when i had to leave, the Maggie’s stole my heart, so much so, I wear a silver charm of this beautiful archipelago around my neck to remind me everyday of our wonderful time there💜

Port Macquarie, NSW, AUI live in a beautiful coastal town on the east coast of Australia, 4 hours north of Sydney. There are lots of walks and places to see amazing native vegetation in the surrounding areas but my favourite is the one that follows the coast, and in the right time of the year you can even spot the annual whale migration.

Just Me 5K: Seattle, Washington by foxandcompass
Columbus, OH, USThis place is special to me because after living 40 years in Columbus Ohio, I moved to Seattle and fell in love. The mountains & the Sound made me smile every day & I met one of my best friends, Diana there. As an avid runner, I was thrilled about all of the scenic routes. Diana and I recently did a JustMe5K in the Wallingford neighborhood - complete with zombie running statues, alligators and amazing views of the city from Gas Works Park. Throw in a tasty breakfast sandwich at the end & that’s a perfect 3.1 miles. 🙌

Explore Tucson, Arizona: Let's Go Hiking by Shoshannah Hausmann
USThis place is special to me because it's my secret winter escape. OK, maybe not so secret as thousands of snowbirds have discovered it as well. I love Tucson not only for the fun breweries, tasty eats, farmers markets, cool shops, and fascinating historical sights but the city is surrounded by nature. To the north you can hike at Catalina State Park and Sabino Canyon, to the east and west you'll find both sections of Saguaro National Park. When hiking you may be surprised to find the desert teems with life like hummingbirds, phainopeplas, hawks, roadrunners, ringtail cats and javelinas. The cactus wren pictured here is the state bird of Arizona. Hope you like my map! :) Come explore the desert!
