Sam Chuk, an old market town along the Thajeen River in Suphan Buri province, serves as a good example of how a community can contribute to changing the face of a place. The lively town, which is more than a century old, is today a dynamic and charming place to visit.
I am in an illustration course at SCAD-Atlanta where we just finished a project focused on maps. I decided to concentrate on the neighborhood where I live since there are endless options of places to eat, shop, and enjoy. Hope you enjoy my final product!
For Rebecca Bradley's Maps class at Maryland Institute College of Art, I had to pick one of my favorite places to illustrate and map out. I chose what is known as "The Avenue at White Marsh" in Maryland because it is a place dear to me. I chose to illustrate the dining and shopping locations, and of course the movie theater, which is a big attraction there. It's just a great little place to relax and hang out!
This map was commissioned by the Adirondack Daily Enterprise Newspaper to showcase local businesses in the surrounding area. That the reason for business buildings being recognizable along with their actual logos. The map is more detailed and far larger than this submitted one, it covers two more townships. I've cropped them out to fit the dimensions of this layout. The starting point of the map is the little green sign board that says Vermontville. Vermontville is the seat of government of the town of Franklin. It is located near the south town line on New York State Route 3.
Thank you for the opportunity to showcase my work. This is such a great project to be a part of.
