The artsy Fremont neighborhood ("Center of the Universe") features a number of pieces of interesting public art. Take the self-guided walking tour to stop and admire all the sights. If you visit in the summer, you can catch the annual Solstice Fair and Parade for an even bigger art fix.
Kleve is a little town in the West of Germany, near the Dutch border. Almost everything you need in life is closeby (that is what the slogan means): shopping in individual shops - that sometimes already are managed by the same family in the third generation, lots of nature for making beautiful bicycle- and walking tours (it is nice and flat!) but also lots of culture.
The south slope of Coquitlam was populated in the early 1900s by French Canadian mill workers, on unceded First Nations land. Many street names in the neighbourhood reflect the vibrant Francophone community that grew around Fraser Mills which closed in 2001. "Festival du Bois" is an annual local celebration of Maillardville's heritage.
