Where do you want to go?

Spending time together has become so much more meaningful during this time of isolation, that we’ve spent in our studio. From watering plants to feeding birds that stop by, boundaries of work and leisure have merged to make this a truly memorable (quaran)time.
Our routines have changed in a way they never have before. What does your perfect day look like now? If the days are getting all too samey I like to make myself an itinerary... like being on holiday but in my own house. I set times to visit certain areas, to do certain activities, to (video) meet with friends. It helps me stay positive.
I personally found more positive things in the state of isolation, such as: taking a break from my long travelings, which have not been a break for the last year and a half. To be alone with my inner self, to clear various thoughts in my head. I also finally found the time I never had enough to start creating in another way like making music, writing, and dancing. It also freed up time for things I don't like to do, but I had no choice, cleaning out old things I didn't need but didn't notice from in my normal daily routine. And separately I have even more time for my professions, my hobbies and time to call all my friends from all over the world and talk until dawn without worries that tomorrow we have to get up early for work or do something outside.
We were wearing down the treads of our shoes and psyches from walking in our neighborhood. A recent social media post about a labyrinth from a friend forced us to change - or escape - our scenery. We took our shoes and our psyches on a trek to find the mythical labyrinth. We found it on our third trip to the park. Three is a charm.
During the pandemic, as many of my friends were watching Contagion and the like, I wanted to create a list of what I consider a) better and b) more fitting movies for the moment. So here it is, in all its incomplete glory!
Where and how I spent my quarantine days, during the corona virus lock-down. My desk with my artistic stuff, a lot of books to read and illustrated books, my two cats and my window view.
My confort corner.
During the lockdown I am often not sure which day it is because every day is like the day bevor. I developed a daily routine which helps me to stay physically and mentally healthy and to make the current situation more comfortable and pleasant.
This place is special to me because this beautiful Balearic town evokes sweet memories and time spent both daydreaming and making important life decisions. It feels like a safe cocoon for one to take time and explore all the options ahead while being inspired by the colourful food and design that awaits in every restaurant, gallery & shop. Palma for me represents freedom, possibilities and abundance of life itself!
