This map is a sample taken from the 380cm x 210cm panel, which I made for the Banca da Conceição. This place is a small and lovely store that sells books and local artists' works. It is located in the superquadra 308 Sul, which is considered a model city quarter in Brasília, with an urbanistic project by the architect Lúcio Costa and landscaping by Burle Marx. Also included in the project are the church of Nossa Senhora de Fátima, better known by the brasilienses as Igrejinha, which was designed by the architect Oscar Niemeyer and has the external walls covered with tiles by the artist Athos Bulcão.
So if you go to Brasilia and want to know a little more about the history and architecture of the city, do not forget to visit the Igrejinha, the 308 Sul and the Banca da Conceição!

The capital of Brazil, inaugurated on April 21, 1960, stands out for its modern architecture and is considered a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO. The main monuments and government buildings were designed by the architect Oscar Niemeyer, and the urban plan by the architect Lúcio Costa. Despite the politics, Brasilia is a beautiful and dynamic city with cool people who love living in it. This illustration is a small tribute to the city where I was born and raised. Although it is inconvenient not being able to get around easily without a car, I love Brasilia!
