Some curious signs from around the Rainbow Nation. South Africans tell it like it is and are never without a sense of humour. Many of these signs I saw with my own eyes, and at first they were shocking. I lived near Cape Town when my oldest child was a baby, and my husband is originally from Johannesburg. Many fond memories.
I visited the Medina inTunis 5 years ago. It was an amazing place with anything for sale from socks and underwear, vegetables, carpets, jewels, etc. The maze of winding alleyways with so many shops and historic buildings was amazing! I spent hours and hours there just wandering (don't worry about getting lost!). It was fun to buy the street snacks, find a tea shop and sit and watch the world go by!
Madagascar is home to such an amazing array of exotic and beautiful wildlife. This map represents only a sample of just the reptiles that are at risk, not to mention all the mammals, birds, fish, insects and plant life that are also threatened.
Kalk Bay is a small village near our home, we love to visit there as a family, for a day out, a quick breakfast, an ice-cream, an evening, a browse in the bookshop or a photo walk. So many great food spots and things to look at. We love it there...
