Drift Ice Tours of Japan by Deborah Davidson
Sapporo, Hokkaido, JapanWhen the water of Siberia's great Amur River flows into the Sea of Okhotsk, it freezes into chunks of ice. These chunks bump into each other and combine into ever-larger chunks which drift southward to the coast of Hokkaido, Japan from mid-January to March. Those who are willing to brave Hokkaido's frigid winter temperatures can experience this silvery-blue wonderland of ice, and the rich and varied ecosystem that accompanies it.

Annapurna Circuit, Nepal by Andy Robert Davies
I trekked this circuit last year and was blown away by all the different views I encountered. I especially liked the hand painted trucks that belched out clouds of smoke as they weaved amongst the goats and struggled up the Himalayan roads.

Adventures in Ahmedabad, India by Geeta Sadashivan
Redmond, WA, USAAhmedabad, known to the locals as "Amdavad," is located in The state of Gujarat in western India. The borders of my map are inspired by the embroidery/patchwork/mirrorwork that the area is famous for, and the stick-figure people and animals are references to "Warli art" which is practised by the tribal people of western India.

Off the Beaten Track in Mexico by Katriona Chapman
London, GBI've been to Mexico three times, and have travelled to around 50 different towns and villages, plus of course all the archaeological sites and incredible natural areas that the country has to offer. These are a few of my very favourites... I always found that the more off the beaten track I went, the more incredible the places were! Some of these may be relatively well-known, but often get missed out by visitors because of their location. If you love nature, you'll be stunned by the diversity of landscapes and wildlife to be found there. Mexico's ancient history and contemporary indigenous communities are also fascinating aspects of the country to explore.
