Eating, Drinking & Adventures in Wrightwood, California by Veronica Hill
Wrightwood, California, USThis is a line drawing of Wrightwood, California, a mountain resort town located just above Los Angeles in the San Gabriel Mountains. I created this map using a combination of my hand-drawn art, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop. Wrightwood is a wonderful day trip for any visitor to California. In the winter, you can ski at Mountain High. In the summer, you can go zip lining at Pacific Crest Ziplines or hike the Pacific Crest Trail. There are many mom-and-pop restaurants to choose from, ranging from the elegant steak house, Blue Ridge Inn, to more casual fare like burgers at The Yodeler, pizza at Mile High Pizza, or tacos and tequila at Mexico Lindo. The Evergreen Cafe is known for its homestyle breakfasts. Village Grind is known for its wine bar and live music, or you can sit out on the patio and enjoy craft beers at the Wrightwood Brewery.

Step Back in Time in Rockland Maine by Kimberley Guilmette
Ontario, CAThis is a map 'depicting' one of my favourite vacations ever! We spent 4 days & 3 nights aboard a Maine Windjammer, the Stephen Taber 1871. It was a dream come true, and far exceeded our expectations; to wake up in your cosy cabin and smell the wood fire from the cookstove, and the food...oh my...gourmet dining & fine wines on the seas! A small crew & group of travellers, what a wonderful time, we were the only Canadians aboard, but made ever so welcome by our fellow American travellers! No electronics, just the sea, scenery, sights & sounds, occasional boat races. A surprise night of kettledrum music & partying ashore, fishing villages visited, during the day! It was heart-breaking to have to leave. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend this boat for a 3, 4 or 6 day cruise! not for the faint of heart, you really are stepping back in time! The vacation that "DNS- as Captain Noah said, "does not suck".
