Exploring My Favorites In Morningside Heights, New York by shiodrawing
Tokyo, JPThis map introduces some of my favorite places in Morningside Heights, NY. I lived in this neighborhood for about two years when I was a student. There were a lot of hard times during my school times, but these amazing local businesses helped me to survive tough times. All of them are loved in the neighborhood and I really want to support them to survive this global pandemic. So, I drew this map to show my supports and appreciation.

The TART Trail Zone in Traverse City, Michigan by Gina M. Brown
Williamsburg, Michigan, USThe TART Trail* is a network of trails for wonderful walking, biking, rollerblading, etc. David Kirby, a local artist and high school physics teacher, led a project to install the planets in our solar system along a paved portion of the trail, to scale. The sun is located at the main library, while Pluto is near Bunker Hill Road, approximately six miles away. It really puts things in perspective when you walk that distance! Of course, a little ice cream never hurts.
*Traverse Area Recreation and Transportation Trail, or “TART” because Traverse City is a huge producer of cherries.

Hove actually by Rebecca Laura
Brighton, GBDuring the second UK Lockdown, I am quarantining in Hove, a place I've got to know fairly well over the past few years. Locals refer to the town as "Hove, actually" because Brighton&Hove is the official name for the city (Brighton) and "Hove actually" differentiates itself as a town by the city of Brighton.

Basel's Buvettes by nataliaoro
Germany & Switzerland, DEThe summer in Basel is hot, vibrant and full of life. The people in this beautiful city spent their spare time outside and everybody gathers at and in Rhine. „Rheinschwimmen“ (swimming in Rhine) is very popular and during the summer months you can see thousands of people swimming. After the swim it is relaxing time and the locals love to grab a refreshing drink or some delicious food at the buvettes along the river. A buvette is a kind of kiosk, bar or café mostly in a container which sells beverage and food. Every year the buvettes are build up in the beginning of spring and they remain there till the fall begins. Sometimes you can listen to a small improvised concert of street musicians.

Far-out Quarantining by Allyson Wilson
Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania , USI submitted this for the picnic challenge, but wanted to post it here as well, since it fits too! ;-) I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that right now I think I might like to travel somewhere far, far away—preferably alone, with a coffee, and a piece of chocolate cake. If only for a little while, just to be able to look at our planet as a whole and realize that there is beauty that remains despite it all. ~Allyson Wilson IG: allyson.wilson_art
