Taking a stroll around the block after dinner to pick fallen and overhanging fruits over public footpath.
Since I love cakes and pastries I decided to make a map out of my favourite bakeries and patisseries in my home town of Malmö. One lovely thing about Malmö, Sweden is our diversity and multiculturalism so I made sure to include both typical Swedish cakes such as semla and princess cake (google them, they’re delicious!) and some Italian, French and Arabic treats. Also, I threw in a handful of architectural sights for good measure. Just put on those eating pants and follow the bread crumbs!
This is a map of my favorite restaurants, bakeries, bars and coffee shops in Logan Square. I recently moved away from this neighborhood and this is my way of reminiscing not only the place itself but a seemingly so distant time of wonderfully packed gatherings, edible explorations and convivial conversations. In this time of masked smiles and gloved gestures, I wanted to focus on their always friendly, familiar faces and that made any cup of coffee, glass of wine or bowl of soup so enjoyable not only for the body but for the soul. These small businesses are strongly surviving such time, carefully, graciously and more than ever passionately giving us flavors and feelings of hope and happiness to come.

One of my favorite things to do in central Izmir is to take a walk on the seaside or the central park, get some fresh air and grab a quick bite. Here is a list of my favorite dishes and places in walking distance.
Here are a few of my favorite restaurants and cafes in the charming Bishop Arts District-- a historical shopping and entertainment district located in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas, Texas. This area only spans a few blocks, so it makes a perfect spot for an afternoon stroll in the city!
Yaowarat Road is well known for one of the best street foods in Thailand. There are varieties of food such as noodles, seafood, desserts, and drinks. Prices are reasonable. Business hours are from around 5:00 pm to midnight. One lane of the road is closed especially for pedestrians. I often go there on weekends. Unbelievably there are many street food vendors who received Michelin Guide awards. It's so fun and so fulfill.
This map introduces some of my favorite places in Morningside Heights, NY. I lived in this neighborhood for about two years when I was a student. There were a lot of hard times during my school times, but these amazing local businesses helped me to survive tough times. All of them are loved in the neighborhood and I really want to support them to survive this global pandemic. So, I drew this map to show my supports and appreciation.
The TART Trail* is a network of trails for wonderful walking, biking, rollerblading, etc. David Kirby, a local artist and high school physics teacher, led a project to install the planets in our solar system along a paved portion of the trail, to scale. The sun is located at the main library, while Pluto is near Bunker Hill Road, approximately six miles away. It really puts things in perspective when you walk that distance! Of course, a little ice cream never hurts.
*Traverse Area Recreation and Transportation Trail, or “TART” because Traverse City is a huge producer of cherries.
