Chuang Yen Monastery is a Buddhist monastery in upstate New York. I became familiar with it by attending its annual summer camp since childhood.
Aside from the camp, many visitors frequent the monastery grounds to pray, sight-see, volunteer, and eat delicious vegetarian food! I've included a comic showing the course of a day in the monastery, from both the perspective of the monks and guests.
This is a place with a lot of heart, and I think of as a second home. I hope you can feel at home here as well!
