One of my favorite walks in any season is through the historic village of Kinderhook in upstate New York. The village was home to the 8th president of the US, Martin Van Buren, and today has a great mixture of history, agriculture and art. The center of the village is very pedestrian friendly with sidewalks and a bike/walk trail that takes you on a quiet stroll past orchards & farms.
