And I don’t mean tropical! A favourite vacation area, I think we’ve visited here at least 18 times, and it’s always as wonderful as the first visit! If you love & appreciate nature, this us the place to go! Driving the Cabot Trail is a must, and I recommend doing it clockwise & counter-clockwise, the vistas are outstanding! I love exploring Cheticamp Island, and cycling through the cows, watching the cormorants, treking to the sea’s edge, and watching the tolling waves! There is lots of hiking, a beautiful National Park for camping, fresh air & salty seas! We had the once in a lifetime pleasure of being joined on an afternoon kayaking expedition by a pod of pilot whales!

Celtic music & mountins, it’s one of the most beautiful spots in Canada, if you like remote this is the spot & seafood & welcoming islanders, who could say no to that? If you want shopping malls and box stores however, this is not the place for you! this hand-drawn map is just a taste of the beauty & history that awaits you in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia🧜🏼‍♀️
