A Walk in Venice among Cats and Lions by Sara Tassan Mazzocco
Aviano, Friuli, ITWHERE WE WALK Map Challenge. Don't get me wrong, there are many more cats and lions in Venice, but relying on my memories I have chosen to represent those that have remained in my heart. The walk illustrated on the map goes from the Accademia Galleries (near the Academy of Fine Arts where I studied) to the wonderful San Marco square, in the heart of the city.

Come for a walk in Alaska! by Anna Guettabi
Anchorage, AK, USAlaska is beautiful. Mix urban Anchorage, the largest city, with lots of nature, and you will have memories of a lifetime! Rent a bicycle and collect blueberries, watch moose eat crabapples or see the tallest mountain of North America - Mt. Denali.

The TART Trail Zone in Traverse City, Michigan by Gina M. Brown
Williamsburg, Michigan, USThe TART Trail* is a network of trails for wonderful walking, biking, rollerblading, etc. David Kirby, a local artist and high school physics teacher, led a project to install the planets in our solar system along a paved portion of the trail, to scale. The sun is located at the main library, while Pluto is near Bunker Hill Road, approximately six miles away. It really puts things in perspective when you walk that distance! Of course, a little ice cream never hurts.
*Traverse Area Recreation and Transportation Trail, or “TART” because Traverse City is a huge producer of cherries.

Lockdown Walk in Tbilisi, Georgia by Katerina Balakina
Tallinn, EEThe second lockdown hit Georgia in November. By that time, I had come to Tbilisi, the Georgian capital. The city, which dates back to about the 5th century, is full of interesting and beautiful places--Persian-influenced architecture, lopsided "Italian" courtyards, picturesque hills, and quiet, sleepy neighborhoods. With the great weather and decent coffee to go, we discovered new little routes every day. However, the walk down Rustaveli Avenue to the Old Town and back to Vake Park is my favorite.

Favourite Lockdown Walk through Tong Village in West Yorkshire, UK by dawn machell
LEEDS, West Yorkshire, GBA walk from home, discovered during the first UK lockdown when we weren't allowed to drive anywhere for exercise. Good news: the ice cream parlour was open for refreshments. Bad news: the pub was not.

Rail Corridor Walk in Singapore by teechewpaper
Singapore, SGThe Rail Corridor used to be a railway line that linked Singapore to Malaysia, its origins dates back to more than a century ago! It's now being converted into a public green space that's rich in biodiversity and history. I visited the re-opened section of the corridor on New Year's Eve with my friends and really enjoyed the morning stroll. Since we can't travel overseas now, this was a nice opportunity to rediscover Singapore and find some respite from the urban landscape.
