3 Days in Old Town Key West by Scott Schiller
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, US
Read More...This place is special to me because my girlfriend and I visited the island during a milestone birthday. It was my first time visiting the Keys and I was blown away by the lush trees and flowers, the intriguing history, the abundant sunshine, tropical birds and marine life...and the delicious fish and fritters! There's simply no better place to celebrate a birthday, Key West is truly a paradise! This map is now a cherished keepsake of my vacation, but it can also be used as a guide for anyone planning their first-time visit!

Mapping This Moment: Takin’ a Walk on the Wild Side in Port St. Lucie, Florida by Gina Lento
Port St Lucie, FL, US
Read More...This is our walk route which is a little over 3 miles. It was a coping ritual that is now habit. We see gopher turtles, plumeria trees blooming, egrets, herons, ibis, spoonbills, wood storks, singing frogs and alligators, who is our friendly neighborhood map monster. We moved to Florida back in November and we love it here!

New York Erie Canal Tour by Michael Karpovage
Roswell, Georgia, USAn American treasure, the Erie Canal was opened in 1825 and soon became the nation's first superhighway allowing settlers access to rich and plentiful land resources. This illustrated stretch – from Brockport to Rochester, NY – depicts the Canal and surrounding countryside as it is in the present day. Every crossing has been carefully portrayed, right down to navigational lights underneath the bridges. And if you look really hard there's even apples on the trees! Hong Kong by Escalator by James Louie
Hong Kong, HKAnother of my favourite places in Hong Kong. One of the city's quirkiest modes of transport is the Central - Mid-levels Escalator, built as a connection between the financial district and residential areas further up the hillside.
From its starting point on Queen's Road Central, the escalator snakes its way through one of Hong Kong's oldest and most interesting neighbourhoods - an eclectic blend of wet markets, colonial structures, hip restaurants, watering holes and art galleries. Like the city as a whole, it keeps a precarious balance between age-old tradition and unashamed modernity.
