No one knows why Rhode Islanders have a culinary fixation with "New York System" style skinny hot dogs, but they are a mainstay of an ocean state diet (along with quahogs and coffee milk). Don't pass through little Rhody without a stop at at a local weinie joint!
Here are my five favourite shacks for french fries in Brussels (a local speciality). It is worth mentioning that the first one (la friterie de la barrière) stays open all night and in that sense it should rather be the ending point (as it very often is on nights out) instead of the starting point. oh well...

My cousin Sarah is the type of dinner party guest who would stop at all six neighborhood ice cream joints to bring you a Capitol Hill ice cream tasting buffet! She has more fun & tasty recommendations for you at SeattleBySarah.com and one time she made an entire dress out of sprinkles and clear tape.

As a North Carolinian and an alumni of UNC, I had to create a map of Chapel Hill, NC when I discovered They Draw & Travel. This college town is steeped in history and tradition so I thought what better way to share Chapel Hill with you than to begin with a win over 'Dook' at the Dean Dome, followed by a trip north through the campus to celebrate on Franklin St. and finally kicking back on the front porch at the Carolina Inn. Visit Chapel Hill once and you'll understand why it gained the nickname, 'The Southern Part of Heaven.'
This map is a conceptual visualization of the 5 boroughs. Each borough has a different feeling. There are different styles of architecture and sights. I feel like a tourist in New York City when I go to a different neighborhood and I wanted to capture that feeling.
