I have always loved the architecture in this city. New and Old. Spanish design is so sensual and inviting. Welcoming. All those curves! If you like to picnic, the top of the hill at Junipero Serra has great views, but my favorite little park is down below, off of Taylor street. The trees are so pretty and it is a quiet little haven in the middle of the city. OK you might have to imagine the quiet part, but it will be one of your favorite spots too if you visit! At the Children's pool you can walk out into the crashing waves.... and more than likely you will get wet! Great on a warm day!
