This is based on a book by my GGGrandfather Edwin Rainbow. He was a journalist, author and Registrar of Birth and Deaths in Coventry, UK at the turn of the last century. He wrote this book in 1916 as a turn by turn description of several walks through his (and my) home city. It's like a time capsule as he describes elegant tree-lined avenues, the tram system and industries of the time. Most of the city was destroyed in WWII and it's fascinating to read what's still there and what's long forgotten.
