Hong Kong, HK
Another of my favourite places in Hong Kong. One of the city's quirkiest modes of transport is the Central - Mid-levels Escalator, built as a connection between the financial district and residential areas further up the hillside.
From its starting point on Queen's Road Central, the escalator snakes its way through one of Hong Kong's oldest and most interesting neighbourhoods - an eclectic blend of wet markets, colonial structures, hip restaurants, watering holes and art galleries. Like the city as a whole, it keeps a precarious balance between age-old tradition and unashamed modernity.
Japan is a fascinating place. It has everything - islands, forests, mountains, volcanoes, rivers and lakes... This map explores just some of the geography of the country. Often the initial image 'Japan' conjures up is of a megacity like Tokyo, but we should not forget the beautiful landscape that covers over 2/3 of the country.

Downtown Los Angeles has much to offer in terms of food, coffee/study spots, ice cream, impactful and diverse non-profits, and cultural monuments. I picked this area because there's always something going on every week and you can never get sick of the diverse cultural aspects of Downtown LA, Arts District, Chinatown, and Little Tokyo!
Took a week long relaxing family road trip beyond Sydney with my husband and toddler son. We had lots of fun staying over at quirky accommodations and discovering good eats and sights along the way.
At the start of 2017 my partner and I bought our first home- a narrowboat. We spent the summer perusing the waterways of the UK including cruising to the source of the great river. Most people will only recognise 'the Thames' as the vast river which flows through central London. Far away from the city, the river takes on a very different persona, it is wild and full of life. I created this map to communicate the importance of the river to the wildlife and many towns it passes.
Eagle Rock is located in Northeast Los Angeles. The influx of food places attracts many to the downtown area where Eagle Rock Blvd and Colorado Blvd intersect. Here is a map of some food places I would recommend as an Eagle Rock resident of 26 years.
