This map of Ogunquit,Maine was created for a client, who grew up moving around a lot - but found this small seaside town to be the one constant in her life. It features many of the places close to her heart, including Perkins Cove, the Art Museum, the bakery and the beach!

I met the love of my life when I was eight years old. We were highly imaginative children, and are still to this day storytellers and world designers.
This is my hometown, the town in which we met, and the places we once played and how we imagined them.
Playgrounds as fortresses and castles, pools as lakes, bleachers as mountains, etc...
I think most artists were extremely imaginative children - I hope it brings back memories for more viewers than just him and I.
This is a map 'depicting' one of my favourite vacations ever! We spent 4 days & 3 nights aboard a Maine Windjammer, the Stephen Taber 1871. It was a dream come true, and far exceeded our expectations; to wake up in your cosy cabin and smell the wood fire from the cookstove, and the food...oh my...gourmet dining & fine wines on the seas! A small crew & group of travellers, what a wonderful time, we were the only Canadians aboard, but made ever so welcome by our fellow American travellers! No electronics, just the sea, scenery, sights & sounds, occasional boat races. A surprise night of kettledrum music & partying ashore, fishing villages visited, during the day! It was heart-breaking to have to leave. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend this boat for a 3, 4 or 6 day cruise! not for the faint of heart, you really are stepping back in time! The vacation that "DNS- as Captain Noah said, "does not suck".

Pen, ink and stitching on Lokta Paper, which is a handmade artisan paper indigenous to Nepal. I was inspired to do this drawing based based on a memory of a concert I attended at The Wexner Center of the Arts in Columbus, Ohio. They brought in Tuva Throat singers from Mongolia. The sound they produce is very unique and memorable.
Located nearby Hong Kong, Guangzhou(also known as "Canton") is the third biggest city in China, but is much less known internationally compared to Beijing and Shanghai. Guangzhou was a major trade port throughout the Chinese history, leaving a legacy of architectures of both Western styles and traditional Chinese styles.
It's easy to visit Guangzhou's major attractions in one day, and metro is arguably the best way to do so. Currently, there are 10 lines of metro, one of which operates on a driver-less automated system. The metros are new, clean, bright and efficient.
Uji, the home of Matcha, is a lovely town surrounded by green hills, clear rivers and streams which are perfect for cultivating green tea leaves. My cousins lived in this little town and my family often visited them when I was little. While our parents enjoyed their tea ceremony at a tea house by Uji river, my cousins and I would go to our favorite ice cream shop and indulged ourselves into creamy dreamy green matcha ice cream! Still now, their skyscraper-towering-matcha sandae is an absolute dream food!!
Japan is a fascinating place. It has everything - islands, forests, mountains, volcanoes, rivers and lakes... This map explores just some of the geography of the country. Often the initial image 'Japan' conjures up is of a megacity like Tokyo, but we should not forget the beautiful landscape that covers over 2/3 of the country.
